FDAT - Fleet Driver Assessment and Training

Transport Audits

What's Involved
The audit gives you a written report on your compliance status and includes a priority list of which aspects of the operation require attention. Audits generally take about four hours to complete (subject to fleet size) and you will have your report usually within two working days. The report is initially emailed to you as an attachment, with a hard copy posted the same day. If we find anything that would impact upon your Operator License and subsequently your 'good repute', we will contact you by phone in the first instant.

The audit is impartial and covers all areas of the transport operation from tachographs to office procedures. The report highlights any areas of concern and offers advice and recommendations on how to improve on the current situation.

Areas Covered by the Audit
Our audits cover every aspect of your operation to ensure that compliance is being met throughout the department. Areas that are covered include:

Benefits of an Audit
Firstly we must stress here that an external audit is in no way a reflection on the skill or professionalism of you or your transport management team. An external audit should be viewed as a support tool for you and your team offering peace of mind concerning your vehicle operator's licence.

Our audits are designed to look at your 'in-house' systems impartially and to pick up on things that may have been overlooked. The bigger your operation, the more staff will be involved in the transport function and as is the case in all fast moving and pressurised environments, mistakes can occur and where legislative compliance is concerned, a small error can have a major impact.
